A little more about your results

What do the internet numbers mean?

Download and upload are measured in megabits per second (Mbps). Higher numbers mean data can move faster. Ping is the time for a request to travel to our server and back. Jitter shows how much that time varies. For ping and jitter, lower numbers are better.

Why is my result different from another speed test?

Each service uses different test servers and methods. Distance, server capacity, Wi-Fi signal, VPN use, and other devices using your connection can all affect your results. This test measures the connection to our server, rather than guaranteeing your internet plan’s maximum speed.

What does the website score measure?

Lighthouse loads your page in a real browser and evaluates how quickly content appears, how much work blocks interaction, and whether the layout shifts. Mobile and desktop use different simulated conditions. A score of 90–100 is good, 50–89 needs improvement, and 0–49 is poor. The test is for public pages; pages behind a login or bot protection may not be testable.

How is my data used?

Internet test data is generated for measurement and discarded. A temporary session cookie authorizes the test. Website addresses are sent to our server for a browser audit, and reports are held temporarily in memory for up to 30 minutes. Please do not enter private links or URLs containing passwords or access tokens. Standard server access logs and temporary abuse-prevention records are used to keep the service running. Sponsor links open third-party websites with their own privacy policies.
